360 Virtual Training Week 9
SIMA 360 Virtual Training Update
Greetings from the Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy (SIMA)! We sincerely hope this message finds you and your family healthy and well! I wanted to touch based and provide you with an update on our very first week of the SIMA 360 Virtual Training Program.
During Spring Break, we as a staff began to understand the circumstances pertaining to the COVID 19 virus and the real possibility that we might not be able to return to school after the vacation period. As a result, we created our SIMA 360 Virtual Training Program to implement in order to ensure that we were still able to train our student athletes in a different way.
As of Monday morning, all of our student athletes have been working daily with this new system of training. Specifically, each SIMA staff coach is meeting with their team members during the exact same time they normally would have been if we were in session on the campus of Montverde Academy. During these virtual sessions with our SIMA staff coaches, the student athletes are completing a number of tasks that are challenging them in the physical, technical, tactical, and psychological aspects of the game to continue to optimize performance during this atypical time at home.
